Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be greeted and transferred to Darjeeling (95 kilometers/3 hours). Darjeeling, India’s former summer capital, is a country of endless diversity and charm. It will provide you with a unique blend of vibrant nature and attractive Himalayan people. It is the home of Dorje, the Lama-mystic Religion’s thunderbolt. This little village is surrounded by tea plants and faces some of the Himalayas’ highest peaks. Take a break and then go for a walk around town to get a feel for the new culture you’ve discovered. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early in the morning, go to Tiger Hill to see the stunning sunrise and its incredible effects on Mt. Kanchendzonga (the world’s third highest peak) Then visit Ghoom Monastery (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY). Breakfast at the hotel, Then a half-day sightseeing tour of Padmaja N. Transfer to Pelling in the morning (about 110 km/5 hours). Pemayangtse, in West Sikkim, is a little Himalayan settlement. Pelling is the closest motorable point to Mt. Kanchendzonga, the world’s third highest mountain, and provides a spectacular sunrise and all-day vista of Kanchendzonga and the Eastern Himalayan range.
After breakfast, go for a half-day tour to Pemayangtse, including the Sacred Khecheopalri Lake, Kanchendzonga Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Sikkim’s second oldest monastery, and Darap Village. The evening is yours to do anything you want.
Transfer to Gangtok in the morning (127 kilometres, 5.5 hours). Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim, is a lovely and clean town with some of the greatest monasteries and sceneries in the world. Overnight at the hotel, with the evening free for own activities and relaxation
After breakfast, depart for Tsomgo Lake (12400ft), 32 kilometres from Gangtok City. The lake is over a kilometre long, oval in form, and 15 metres deep. The lake is revered by the locals, and 12 kilometres away lies the Baba Mandir, which is devoted to the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh. Free evening in Gangtok for shopping and personal activities.
After breakfast, proceed to Kalimpong (80 kilometres / 02 hours) for a half-day local sight-seeing tour of Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brong Monastery (Durpin Dara Monastery), Flower & Orchid Nurseries, and Dello Hill. The evening is yours to do anything you want. Overnight stay at the hotel.
